We seem to do more & more short break splitboarding and backcountry trips for people each season. The benefits are obvious I guess, if as a group of 3 or 4 can’t make an advertised week with us here then they can come on their preferred different dates and specify the course content to suit their needs.
Bespoke guiding doesn’t need to be expensive either.
A recent group of 4 riders got in touch to see what options were open to them for a 5 day trip. With price playing a factor in the decision we came up with the following package:
*Return airport transfers to Geneva
*A large 2 bedroom apartment in a central village location (with wifi etc) on a self-catered basis for 7 nights
*Grocery shop delivered to the apartment before arrival
*Splitboard hire for the 5 days
*5 days being driven to ride the best powder across France Italy and Switzerland
*Guiding over the period with our UIAGM high mountain guide
The price per person came in at only £1039.
Considering that you get to set the course content – i.e. regular powder riding, splitboarding, stops in mountain refuges, glacier training etc and being privately guided its no bad deal we reckon. Remember that it doesn’t have to be 5 days – bringing the price down even further!
