Hut To Hut Splitboarding

Our hut to hut splitboarding trips in the high mountains will lead you through some of the most stunning Alpine scenery in either France, Italy or Switzerland. Tours from refuge to refuge are combined with riding some of the best terrain in the area.

The trips will run over 5 days and 4 nights with overnight stays in manned high mountain refuges where you will find a good dinner and a comfy dorm bed awaiting you at the end of each day.  This is a trip for fit and experienced splitboarders only who are comfortable with skinning around 1000m + of vertical at altitude and riding long off piste descents each day.

The journey will take you through some truly wild and remote terrain for an incredible mountain experience.  As the high altitude splitboarding season generally runs from March until May in the Alps you can expect to ride in varied conditions. The descents will most likely involve riding powder and velvety spring snow but also expect to deal with windblown hardpack, sun affected snow, ice and slush at lower altitudes

It may be that we take you on a mini splitboarding friendly Haute Route tour from France and into Switzerland or perhaps to Italy to summit the 4000m Gran Paradiso mountain The beauty of a Rider Social trip is that we will take you to wherever has the best conditions on that week.
